At the beginning of April, we launched an internationalisation project co-funded by the European Union. The project will run for two years, from April 2026 to March 2028. <\/p>\n
The project aims to expand Peswin Oy\u2019s business operations into the Swedish market. The project will continue Peswin\u2019s internationalisation activities, with a focus on market analysis and financial assessments. The work will be carried out in cooperation with the Business Director and expert organisations.
Swedish industrial production grew by an average of more than 10% in 2025 compared with the previous year, indicating a strong recovery following the challenges caused by the COVID-19 crisis and high energy prices. Although GDP growth expectations have been slightly revised downwards (1.8% for 2025), Sweden\u2019s economic outlook remains more stable than that of many other European countries.
Sweden is one of the world\u2019s largest exporters of pulp, paper and timber. Although domestic demand is weak, exports remain strong. The forest industry employs approximately 140,000 people and is exposed to changes in trade policy, increasing the need for cost-effective industrial maintenance and risk management.
During 2025, Peswin carried out a study of the Swedish market and the company\u2019s potential to operate there. The study reinforced the view that there is market potential in Sweden for a company such as Peswin, and this project will take the next steps towards establishing operations in the market. <\/p>\n
