At the beginning of June, we launched an internationalisation project co-funded by the European Union. The project will run for six months, from the beginning of June until the end of November. The purpose of the project is to explore Peswin Oy\u2019s opportunities for international expansion into Sweden and Estonia.<\/p>\n
Chief Operating Officer Otto Taskinen says that the project provides a valuable opportunity to assess the markets and operating practices in neighbouring countries, as well as their interest in Peswin and our operating models. The project will provide us with valuable insights and a solid basis for making decisions on further international expansion. We have experienced professionals carrying out the project who already know us and understand our goals, so I strongly believe the outcome will be excellent.<\/p>\n
The project will explore opportunities to expand Peswin Oy\u2019s business operations into selected markets. At this stage, the focus is on exploring opportunities in Sweden and Estonia.<\/p>\n
The project will assess the business potential for international expansion, the competitive landscape, and the regulatory requirements and constraints in the selected markets. The aim is also to identify the procurement organisations of potential customers and assess their interest in Peswin\u2019s service offering through surveys and qualitative interviews.<\/p>\n
The qualitative interviews will also deepen our understanding of customers\u2019 experiences of working with outsourcing partners for industrial equipment maintenance and installation services, the key challenges they have encountered in these partnerships, and the factors that different customers consider important when making procurement decisions regarding outsourced services.<\/p>\n
Following the study, the company will have a clear understanding of whether expanding its operations into Europe is feasible and what actions this would require from the company.<\/p>\n
CEO Tuomas Pellikka comments on the project as follows: \u201cWe still have a lot of work and analysis ahead of us to determine how we can best meet the needs of the Finnish market.\u201d However, at this stage, we were presented with an opportunity to explore international expansion, and this is an excellent opportunity for us to assess the Swedish and Estonian markets. In any case, we are aiming to expand into these markets within the next few years at the latest. Unfortunately, our industry is generally a challenging sector for securing funding through ELY due to the mobile nature of our operations. Funding was granted for the internationalisation project, and we will make full use of this support to conduct a more in-depth assessment of this important area.
